Topic #242:

Write your bucket list – a list of things you want to do before you kick the bucket.

I’ve always had a list of things I would like to do, in general. I never really thought of it as a Bucket List; but I guess that’s what it is. My interpretation feels less morbid though; but maybe calling it a Bucket List makes you act quicker on things.

Here’s mine so far:-

  1. Fly in a hot air balloon.
  2. Learn to scuba dive.
  3. Visit Machu Picchu.
  4. Buy a diamond necklace.
  5. Write a fiction novel.
  6. Learn Italian.
  7. Own an MX5 (car)
  8. Learn to make pasta.
  9. Fall in love.
  10. Get married to number 9.
  11. Have children.
  12. Design and have someone build my own house.
  13. Make £1,000,000
  14. Make Holidays From Home a successful international, multi-million pound company and brand.
  15. See the Northern Lights.
  16. Go to Australia.
  17. Swim with wild dolphins.
  18. Go whale watching.
  19. Go to a European Christmas market.
  20. Travel round the world – first class!
  21. Go shopping on Rodeo Drive – Pretty Woman style!
  22. Have a box at Wembley Stadium.
  23. Go on safari.
  24. Go to a movie premier.
  25. Go on a road trip.
  26. See the Seven Wonders of the World.
  27. Climb the Great Wall of China.
  28. See an open air cinema screening.
  29. Go to Proms in the Park with a posh picnic.
  30. Afternoon tea the Ritz and the Savoy.
  31. Travel on the Orient Express.
  32. Eat in a revolving restaurant.
  33. Skydive!

Absolutely! Ever since I wrote a virtual holiday there I’ve been desperate to go. Definitely need more energy first! Where would you recommend visiting?

  2. […] I’m an optimistic person by nature, my glass is half full, I look for the positives, every cloud has a silver lining and all those other clichés; but sometimes I think one of the hardest parts of a condition which is remitting and relapsing is the not knowing if and when you’re going to improve, stay the same or get worse. I feel like I’m living my life waiting to improve and while I am still living, making the most of the energy I have, I am putting off a lot of things, waiting until I’m better, or at least a bit better. If on the other hand I knew this was it, that this was as well as I will ever ge then I’d stop waiting and start doing the things I really want to, like travel, go in a hot air balloon and various other things on my bucket list.
