I like coming up with ideas, I enjoy that spark of ignition when you first come up with it; but in truth it’s more like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle coming together. You can suddenly see the picture which has been waiting for you all along. I generally enjoy bringing the idea together, working on it, making it a reality; but the scariest part is when you send it out into the world, for others to see.
I’m just at that stage and it’s terrifying, in a rollercoaster, exciting/scary/feel a bit sick/totally exhilarated kind of way! I’ve created a virtual party for New Year’s Eve for people who can’t go out to celebrate this year. It’s along the same lines as my virtual holidays; but it’s just for New Year’s Eve. I’ve written a virtual shopping trip to New York and then a virtual party to welcome in the New Year, with recipes, cocktails and fun activities to do. I’ve had a blast organising it all and I’m really pleased with it; but now comes the part where I have to tell people about it and that’s a little frightening. I want to make it a global party and my aim is to get over 100 people to join in. Fingers firmly crossed!
You can control every element when it’s just you involved; but it takes on a life of its own once you release it into the wild, so to speak. You just have to hope and pray you’ve done enough for it to fly. Ooo lots of mixed metaphors there!
If you’d like to know more details or you know somebody that can’t go out for New Year’s Eve, maybe because they are bed or house bound like me then go here… http://holidaysfromhome.co.uk/newyear
I’m pleased to have something to focus on this New Year’s Eve, normally I feel really left out, bored and upset; but I’m looking forward to being able to connect with others like me who want to have fun and won’t let life and its troubles get in the way.

What a great idea!
cheers
Lorraine
Thanks Lorraine, fingers crossed!
